Staff
Prospect
Co-op is particularly proud of its devoted, dedicated and experienced
staff. Betsy McCoy Geiger,
our Director, holds a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education
from Kean College, Union,
NJ, is a registered Music Together ® teacher and has
previously taught at the college and elementary levels. Ms. Geiger
is also the 1994 recipient of the Nancy Draper Award for combining
music and literature in the classroom. In 1996, she received the
Professional Development Award from the Essex-Hudson Chapter of
the New Jersey Association for the Education of Young Children for
her contributions to the field of early childhood education. She
has served as a consultant to Sesame
Street and given numerous seminars on
early childhood education.
All
Prospect teachers have their early childhood education certification.
Our assistant teachers have many years experience working with young
children and strong backgrounds in early childhood education and
development. Our staff continues its commitment to early childhood
education by taking additional courses and attending local and national
seminars and conferences.
Judy
Lind is the teacher of the 4-year-old classes. She has a Masters
in Early Childhood Education from George Washington University.
She has more than 30 years in the field of education and comes to
us from the University of Cincinnati where she was the lead teacher
in the Arlitt Child and Family Research and Education Center.
Peggy
Fein Tobin teaches the 2-year-old class. She has been at Prospect
for 32 years and has a Masters in Early Childhood Education from
Bank Street College.
Betsy
Cohen teaches the 3-year-old classes. She has been a teacher at
Prospect for 17 years and attended The College of St. Elizabeth
and Seton Hall University and has a Child Development Associate's
degree.
Jean
Boyer is the assistant teacher for the 3 year olds and has been
at Prospect for 23 years. She received her B.S. degree in education
from the University of Missouri.
Anita
Walls is the assistant for the 4 year olds and has been at Prospect
for 11 years. She attended Centenary College and the Katherine Gibbs
School.
Jenny Hajdukiewicz is our assistant teacher for the 2-1/2 year old classes. She is a familiar face here at Prospect, having 2 children begin their school careers with us and substituting in the school for many years. She was raised in Hong Kong and studied in England. |
